Mahatma Children’s Home, a Higher English Medium School founded and administered by Sri K.A. Seshagiri Rao, a child psychologist, educationist and visionary, permanently recognised by the Government of Karnataka, imparts education in the state syllabus from Pre-KG to Tenth Standard.
The school is situated in a vast area of one acre of land in J.P. Nagar III Phase, amidst lush green trees and an atmosphere congenial for all-round development. The building has spacious classrooms amidst a beautiful garden.
The premises has a wide playground with high raised compound for safety. Clean drinking water, hygienic toilets, equipped labs, a library with rare books, latest teaching aids, and an audio-visual hall is provided. Entire campus is covered by CCTV cameras.
Compulsory three language formula is adopted with English, Kannada and Hindi. Emphasis is laid on the teaching of English to make children proficient in the global language, with a stress laid on the basic English grammar. All core subjects like Science, Mathematics and Social Studies are provided with additional work books for better comprehension. Simplified Moral Science books by eminent authors depicting high values of the Indian culture and heritage are prescribed to inculcate values in children. Books on general knowledge for academic enrichment, copy-writing books for development of legible writing, drawing books to develop a taste for art, are other co-academic apparatus that the children are trained with.
